Our bulk algae are all from organic farming. algae are a product that is part of aquaculture and which are not regulated by our Swiss Organic Ordinance (RS 910.18), and that is why we cannot name them “Bio Algae”. However, all our algae have their organic certification.
These algae are grown in preserved waters off the coast of Lesconil, in the South of Finistère, in Brittany, these Dulse flakes, dried at low temperatures, by committed professionals, both for a sustainable culture of algae and for the well-being that these wonders of the sea procure.
Red to purple in color, dulse is a seaweed commonly found on the Atlantic coast. In addition to being delicious, dulse has health benefits!
The dulse is rich in proteins but also in vitamins and minerals. It also contains many pigment molecules with antioxidant properties such as phycoerythrin and carotenoids (β-carotene, α-carotene, zeaxanthin and lutein).
Sweet and full-bodied, slightly peppery and iodized reminiscent of hazelnut. Raw, its texture is crunchy. Perfect for dressing salads or vinaigrettes and seafood.
Once cooked, the consistency of the dough becomes dark. You can then serve it with your vegetables, meats, omelettes, omelettes and of course your fish!
