Our bulk algae are all from organic farming. algae are a product that is part of aquaculture and which are not regulated by our Swiss Organic Ordinance (RS 910.18), and that is why we cannot name them “Bio Algae”. However, all our algae have their organic certification.
Sea lettuce (ULVA LACTUCA) is a green seaweed belonging to the class of Chloroficee. Among the algae it is one of the best known species, it is the richest in chlorophyll and is the one that comes closest to terrestrial plants. Sea lettuce is a very precious source of Carotenoids, Chlorophyll, Polysaccharides, Vitamins including Vitamin B12, essential and non-essential amino acids, it also contains histidine (essential amino acid for children).
this alga has a beautiful bright green leaf, although thin it is quite resistant, which makes it versatile in use, it can be tasted raw but also slightly seared. The aroma is intense and the taste extremely delicate. It is suitable for preparing colorful salads, dressings and tasty side dishes.
