Timut pepper, sometimes called “grapefruit pepper”, is actually a false pepper from Nepal. It is harvested from a thorny shrub called Xanthoxylum armatum. The fruit comes in the form of small black seeds surrounded by a brown pericarp. Not to be confused with Sechuan Pepper

Its surprising lemon fragrance, with notes of citrus and grapefruit, is unique. It can be used anywhere, i.e. with meat, seafood, fish, ducks, chocolate desserts, ice cream, fruit salad and also in syrups and jams.
