This pepper is grown in Penja, Cameroon, on naturally rich and balanced volcanic soil. Penja pepper has exceptional character and flavor. It is considered the best in the world. Harvesting is done by hand. The methods of cleaning, drying and sorting have not changed for generations. It is the women who select the pepper grain by grain. The color of the grain depends solely on its degree of maturity. Penja white pepper is long in the mouth and slightly spicy. It is sweet and refined.
It goes perfectly with game, red meat and fruit salad. Or simply with oysters. Try it on desserts. With pear or apple pie, strawberries with freshly squeezed lime juice.
